Drunken brawl near Lubyanka: Defacto club security guard beats up two FSB Internal Security officers responsible for state protection

Details have emerged about the incident outside the Defacto club on Bolshaya Lubyanka, where two FSB officers were “knocked out.”

The one who threw the punches turned out to be a club employee, while the injured officers belong to the 3rd Service of the FSB Internal Security Directorate (USB FSB) – the unit responsible for the safety of persons under state protection.

According to a source, one of the FSB officers heads the so‑called “MFC special forces” – a unit that purges information databases of any records relating to protected individuals. The second officer is his subordinate. The 3rd Service also includes the special forces that physically guard those protected persons.

They were confronted by the club’s security guard (a man in black).

The source says that the FSB officers themselves insist on a version in which they are entirely the victims. They were off duty and relaxing at the club, tried to calm down aggressive patrons, but the guard asked precisely the officers to “step outside.” There were many people at the entrance, and the conflict continued with the guard. Again, the officer tried to calm him down, but the guard unexpectedly threw a punch.

The guard, even after the opponents’ status came to light, does not back away from this version.

Interestingly, after this story, several establishments in the Lubyanka area have banned visitors from standing near their entrances.
